The Rawene ferry that connects The Narrows near Kohukohu and Rawene. The trip across is just about 15 minutes, but without the ferry it’s a three-hour drive on winding roads.

The tourist boat, Ranui, leaves for a tour up and down the river. Go left and you find a lot of history. Go right and there’s a ton of scenery.
