Portugal is truly old world charm—a place, though stuck a bit in time. Once a great nation, it seems to be slightly lost on some fronts. But on other fronts, I found it to be an amazing place. Design, for example (as in graphic design). Only Japan even came close. Portugal may know it or not (I’m not sure) but their graphic design is world-class. And when you look for graphic design, you don’t look in design studios. You actually look at the postcards on the street, the t-shirts in the store etc. And that’s where you get the feel for design.
There’s a lot more about Portugal, and I’ll write more, but for starters, let’s just say I’m wowed b their sense of design.
